101 Films International, an Amcomri Entertainment company, reveals a first-look trailer of British feature film Look to the Light ahead of AFM.
Written during the pandemic, this compelling film deals with the pitfalls of reality TV, toxicity of social media and the mental health struggles of Gen Z.
Look to the Light, produced by Agency105, QFilm and Homesick Angel, is written and directed by Christopher Manoe (Hellfire) and stars Charlie Goddard (Family Ties), Lucy Benjamin (Eastenders), Mark Moraghan (Cockney and Scouse), Kele Le Roc (Gangsters Gamblers Geezers), Sharon Duce (Outland) and Marion Fagbemi.
Eoghan Burke, VP of International Sales, 101 Films International comments, “We’re really pleased to be able to offer this film to our international clients at AFM. It’s a brilliant British film which captures the zeitgeist of the issues that reality TV and instant fame can bring to those that are unprepared for its consequences.”
Set in the present day, the story takes us on a year in the life of wannabe celebrity influencer, Eddie Reynolds (Goddard), a pursuer of fast-track fame, whose whole world turns upside down when he is chosen to take part in the hit primetime TV show Love on The Rocks. Faced with the dilemma of remaining with his faithful girlfriend or becoming insta-famous, he opts for the Gen Z, superficial fast track to celebrity, whilst navigating a rocky romance that turns to tragedy.
