101 Films International, an Amcomri Entertainment company, has acquired a raft of festive Christmas RomCom films from award-winning Toronto and Los Angeles based entertainment studios, Vast Entertainment and Breakthrough Entertainment. The six movies are available for the first time at EFM this week.
Almost all of the films are based on the work of Christmas romance author Melissa Hill, and are all directed by multi award-winning producer/director Lane Shefter Bishop (The Duff, Assassination Games) who is an expert at book-to-screen adaptations.
Established more than 30 years ago, Canada’s leading studio Breakthrough Entertainment’s operations include the development and distribution of feature films, television series and digital content, as well as international co-productions and production services. In 2019, the company forged a strategic partnership with Vast Entertainment to produce and direct both romantic holiday movies and female-led thrillers.
Eoghan Burke, VP of International Sales, 101 Films International comments, “Festive movies continue to be hugely popular around the world and we are delighted to have acquired six premium films directed by Lane Shefter Bishop, who has won a slew of awards for her romcoms, to offer our clients at EFM.”
